After an unsuccessful attempt to communicate with Governor Paterson, the mother and family of slain Police office Omar Edwards reached out to 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement who care seeking our support in their call for the appointment of a special prosecutor. Members of 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement who care, the Latinos Officers association and the Grand Council of Guardians will join the mother and family members of Detective Omar Edwards in their call for Governor Paterson to appoint a special Prosecutor.

Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau's office announced today that the grand jury ruled that Andrew Dunton not be charged in connection with the May 28th shooting of Officer Omar Edwards.
