You can not tell a Man who earned his dollar how and when to spend it!
Mike didn't buy the position. The people wanted a new fresh leader coming in with no bills to pay!

The Guardian Chronicle and many other African American and Latino based publications endorsed Mr. Bloomberg as well as Unions and Associations that had the leadership and vision to speak the truth. Mr. Norman Seabrook, President of the Correction Officers Benevolent Association is an example of leadership that spoke the truth about this now past New York City Election. The Guardian Chronicle covered the primary and had the opportunity to be on the front line to witness the in your face disrespect for people of color and for Mr. Ferrer! This election was a clear wake up call! The Democratic Party didn't support its own when it's members said, Yes we will vote for Freddy! The major players in the Democratic Party also did something that for the life of me I didn't understand! The Democratic Party did not stand on Principal! This automatic support for anything that's Democratic is crazy! When the main stream news papers started writing one sided view points about Mr. Ferrer and using racist cartoons of Black People in their articles; that was the time to stand and be counted for What is Right! That was the time to say, Hold it, this is wrong and someone will answer for this! Instead, we saw so many high level democrats join on the Green Line. This election sent a message! Don't take the Latino and African American Vote for Granted! People of color are much smarter in 2001! People of color have expanded their understanding of the government and it's leaders way beyond so called party lines! This time people of color voted for two reasons: First "Send a message to the Democrat Party- Clean up the program! Second: We see opportunity with the new guy named Bloomberg because he owes no one and will provide access to his administration and community leaders. During the election process last night, you heard the term "People Defecting". People didn't defect last night! Voters vented their anger last night over how the primary was conducted in New York City. The end result was a tight race that clearly shows that the people of New York City are looking for a fresh government leader and administration that will get New York City Back on a solid financial foundation and bring all New Yorkers together. The Guardian Chronicle is proud to have been one of many who endorsed Mr. Michael Bloomberg.
