GUARDIAN CHRONICLE Ralph E. Smith, Reporter Publisher

Meet Our Reporter and Publisher

A 30 year veteran of New York City civil service and law enforcement, our founder Ralph E. Smith has a Bachelor of Arts degree in radio broadcasting and journalism from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. As a reporter and publisher, he works to give voice to the voiceless and provides them with a platform. Having worked in the New York City Police Department, he understands the trials and tribulations of the common people.

Over the course of his career, Ralph has worked as a public relations officer for the New York City Department of Corrections. As a corrections officer, his aim was not just to incarcerate people but to save the youth and show them the consequences of bad decisions. He worked with students who could be considered at-risk because the system may have allowed them to fall to the ground. Additionally, he has helped save the lives of over 10,000 New York City students by going to their classrooms with a group of concerned officers for their Correctional Inmate Awareness Program.
Through the years, our reporter and publisher continues to reach out to younger people and help them make the right decisions. He also leads school, community, and church presentations titled “Go to Yale, Not Jail” to show the youth of America that they are cared for.
